Giriş

Pristomyrmex archaios is an extinct ant species known only from two male specimens preserved in Bitterfeld amber from Germany, dating to the Late Eocene epoch approximately 34-38 million years ago . Males have a total length of about 3.5 mm, with large eyes and reduced mandibles . The most notable feature is the forewing venation, which has two closed cells, unlike modern Pristomyrmex species that have only one .
