Giriş
Paraneuretus longicornis is an extinct ant species known from Baltic amber deposits dating to the late Eocene period (47.8-41.3 million years ago) . It was described by William Morton Wheeler in 1915 based on a single male specimen . Males reach 7-10 mm in body length, making them larger than related aneuretine species . This species is characterized by well-developed notauli (grooves on the thorax) and an elongate peduncle, placing it within the subfamily Aneuretinae . Only male specimens have been found, so colony structure and behavior are unknown.
