Giriş

Paraneuretus dubovikoffi is an extinct ant species known only from fossil remains in Late Eocene amber from the Russian Far East, approximately 35-34 million years ago . Workers measure about 6 mm in body length, while queens (gynes) were larger at 17-18 mm . This species belongs to the subfamily Aneuretinae, which was more diverse in the Eocene but now has only one living species, Aneuretus simoni, from Sri Lanka . The genus Paraneuretus has three described fossil species . This species cannot be kept in captivity as it has been extinct for millions of years. The fossil record provides morphological details, but no biological or behavioral data exists.
