Giriş
Emplastus similis is an extinct ant species known only from wing fossils discovered in the Kizi Formation of Primorsky Krai, Russian Far East. This species dates to the Late Oligocene epoch (Chattian stage), approximately 28-23 million years ago. The only known specimen is a forewing imprint showing a length of approximately 4.8mm, with distinctive venation patterns that combine features found in different modern dolichoderine genera but never together in any living species. As a fossil species, no living specimens exist and it cannot be kept in captivity.
