Giriş

Carebara rugiceps is an extinct ant species known only from fossil imprints dating to the Late Miocene epoch, approximately 5.3-7.2 million years ago. The species was originally described as Myrmica rugiceps by Heer in 1849 based on fossils found in Oeningen, Germany. Due to the preservation quality of these fossils, most diagnostic morphological features are not visible, making detailed biological information about this species extremely limited. This is a fossil species and cannot be kept in captivity.
