Введение

Camponotites tokunagai is an extinct ant species preserved in Fushun amber from northeastern China, dating back approximately 50 million years to the Eocene epoch. This specimen represents the oldest definitive myrmicine ant and the oldest confirmed Camponotus species ever discovered . As a fossil species, C. tokunagai no longer exists as a living colony and cannot be kept in captivity.
