Introdução

Camponotites compactus is an extinct ant species from the Middle Oligocene period, approximately 30 million years ago. It was originally described as Camponotus compactus and was recorded from fossil deposits in Brunstatt, Alsace, France . As a fossil species, these ants no longer exist and cannot be kept in captivity. If you are looking for a living ant species to keep, consider researching other Camponotus species that are popular in the antkeeping hobby.
