Introductie

Plagiolepis minutissima is an extinct ant species known only from Late Eocene amber deposits, roughly 44 million years old. Only male specimens have been described, measuring 1.4 to 1.5 mm in total body length . The species was originally described from Rovno amber in Ukraine and also appears in Baltic, Bitterfeld, and Scandinavian amber deposits . Since this species went extinct millions of years ago, you cannot keep it in captivity. No living specimens or colonies exist.
