Introductie
Carebara nitida is an extinct ant species known only from fossil specimens preserved in Late Eocene amber, approximately 33.9-37.8 million years old . The species was originally described from Rovno amber in Ukraine and was initially placed in the genus Oligomyrmex before being transferred to Carebara . Workers resemble the related extinct species C. kutscheri in body sculpture but can be distinguished by their smaller eyes and differently shaped propodeal denticles . As a fossil species, no living specimens exist, and no behavioral, ecological, or husbandry data is available.
No caresheet needed
