紹介
Lasius nemorivagus is an extinct ant species known only from fossil specimens preserved in Baltic Amber from the Late Eocene epoch. The queen (gyne) measured about 6mm in body length and was described by Wheeler in 1915 based on a single specimen. This species belonged to the subgenus Chthonolasius, characterized by a relatively wide head that is broader than the mesosoma (the middle body section). The body has sparse standing hairs and appears shiny due to fine punctation. The original type specimen was likely lost during World War II. This is a paleontological species, not a living ant that can be kept in captivity.
