Pendahuluan
Cephalotes integerrimus is an extinct ant species known only from fossil specimens preserved in Dominican amber from the Miocene epoch . Workers measured 3.78-4.06mm in total length, making them small ants with distinctive morphological features including a head slightly broader than long, flattened frontal carinae, and paired semi-transparent lamellae on the abdomen . This species belongs to the genus Cephalotes, commonly known as 'turtle ants' due to their distinctive flattened heads and shield-like body structures. However, C. integerrimus went extinct millions of years ago and is only known from fossil specimens - it cannot be kept in captivity as no living colonies exist .
