Pendahuluan
Cephalotes bloosi is an extinct ant species known only from fossil specimens preserved in Dominican amber from the Miocene epoch . Workers measured 4.54mm in total length . The species is characterized by distinctive morphological features including a vertex without denticles, a broad continuous lamella along the pronotum, and three small lateral denticles on the propodeum . This species belongs to the coffeae clade of Cephalotes and was formally described in 1999 by Baroni Urbani and de Andrade .
