Einleitung
Tetramorium kulickae is an extinct ant species known only from a worker preserved in Baltic amber, approximately 37 million years old . Workers measured 2.5-2.7 mm and share features with modern Tetramorium caespitum group ants: a 12-segmented antenna with a 3-segmented club, a low mesosoma with a shallow metanotal groove, and coarse rugosity on the mesosoma . The species was named after Polish palaeoentomologist Dr. Róża Kulicka . Only the worker caste is known; queens and males remain undiscovered . This species lived in Late Eocene Baltic amber forests, which were warm and humid compared to modern Europe .
