Einleitung

Emplastus amguensis is an extinct ant species known only from a single fossilized forewing imprint discovered in the Lower Oligocene deposits of the Granatnenskaya Formation in Primorsky Krai, Russia, near the Amgu River . The wing imprint shows typical Dolichoderinae venation patterns, with the species most closely resembling the extinct E. kozlovi and showing similarities to some extant Tapinoma species . The forewing measures approximately 7.0 mm in length, making it a medium-sized ant by fossil standards . As an ancient fossil species, no behavioral, morphological, or ecological data exists for living specimens.
